About Nikki
Nikki’s background is so varied and weird, her resume makes you go, “Wait. What?” The entertainment industry, corporate coaching and training, event coordination, seminary and pastoring, acting, writing and standup comedy. Now she’s adding notary public and wedding officiant. Say what now?Nikki feels called to support folks on their spiritual journeys. To that end, she graduated from Union Theological Seminary in 2004 with a Master of Divinity degree focused on Womanist Ethics and Worship and the Arts. She knows how to walk with folks in their seeking and knows her way around a ritual. Nikki worked as a pastor in a church for a year before realizing that she is not really churchy enough to be a full-time pastor. She’s a little too woo woo and a lot too sassy for traditional religion. She brings an interfaith and interspiritual outlook to her work and life.Nikki has been ordained since 2013 and has officiated all kinds of weddings, including LGBTQIA+ weddings and plural marriages. A romantic at heart, Nikki thrives on the hope and possibility of nuptials, new and renewed. She digs I do’s and can help you write vows that make you laugh, cry and say what really matters. Beyond weddings, Nikki creates home blessings, baby dedications, and ceremonies for just about any occasion or life change.Nikki believes that ritual engages the external and internal, the sacred and the secular. It helps mark significant life changes and allows participants to experience the transformative power of community, prayer and reflection. Called to serve and support, Nikki will work with you to design a ritual that reflects your beliefs and values, keeping it fun and making it fabulous.So, whether you need someone to notarize documents or someone warm and funny to officiate your occasion, Nikki is your girl! She shows up for her clients and helps them show out. She takes her job very seriously, but she doesn’t take herself too seriously while doing it.
